Natural solutions, recipes and advice to prevent seasonal hair loss, stimulate hair growth and regain healthy hair.
Every day we lose an average of 60 hairs. When the seasons change, this loss accelerates and we can lose up to 100 hairs per day. This is impressive but completely normal. To prevent this hair loss from accelerating too much and to give your hair a boost at each change of season, we share with you our natural ritual to follow for at least a month, to strengthen the scalp, slow down hair loss and stimulate growth.
Step 1: Make an oil bath every week
First of all, let's define the oil bath! It is a massage of the scalp with a vegetable oil or a mixture of vegetable and essential oils.
To make your oil bath, first choose a vegetable oil adapted to your hair type (see our tips below). Add 2 to 5 drops of toning essential oils to your oil mixture. The best essential oils for strengthening hair and slowing down hair loss are Atlas cedar, Bay of St Thomas, grapefruit, Ginger, Ylang-ylang and cade.
Then massage your oil into the scalp, a few drops are enough, moving the scalp well under your fingers. Then run your oil-soaked fingers over the lengths and insist on the tips, coating them well with oil and taking care not to apply too much.
Leave your oil bath on for 20 minutes (good) to overnight (better!). For the night, simply wrap your hair in a towel to avoid damaging your pillows.
Which oil to choose according to your hair type?
- For all hair types: Biotonic hair mask
- For mixed to oily hair: jojoba oil
- For dry to very dry hair: avocado oil, wheat germ oil, coconut oil, castor oil (always diluted in another vegetable oil as it is very viscous)
Tip: you can add a few drops of the Energetic Hair Synergy to your vegetable oil
Step 2: Use a strengthening shampoo every week
After the oil bath, once a week, wash your hair with rhassoul and add plant powders. To strengthen the hair, add sage, rosemary, mustard and/or burdock powders to the rhassoul. This rhassoul with plant powders allows you to wash and strengthen your hair at the same time.
If you prefer to shampoo as normal, you can opt for a pre-shampoo herbal powder mask, without rhassoul, and then shampoo as usual.
Rhassoul cleansing and strengthening with plant powders
- 90 ml warm water
- 45g of ultra-fine grey rhassoul
- 3g rosemary powder (dark hair) or burdock (light hair)
- 5ml organic aloe vera gel
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a wooden spoon until you have a smooth, creamy paste. Apply to slightly damp scalp and roots, leave on for 5 minutes, massage and rinse.
Step 3: Protect the tips
For all hair types: don't hesitate to spread a dab of aloe vera gel on the ends to avoid dehydration of the hair without weighing it down.
For very dry, curly and frizzy hair: apply organic aloe vera gel to the ends (and even the lengths if your hair is very dry) or a "day cream" such as our "Douceur et Equilibre" cream with silk protein or wheat protein. You can also apply a serum of organic aloe vera gel and organic broccoli oil to coat the hair.
Our other tips for strong, vibrant hair:
ban industrial shampoos, prefer rhassoul washes, gentle shampoos without silicones or ecological solid shampoos
eat oilseeds such as walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds
take a magnesium and spirulina cure
sleep well and avoid stress (even if it is sometimes difficult!)
do not use plastic bands
prefer wooden combs and brushes to plastic combs
avoid washing your hair with very hot water
